With a generous grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services, the John G. Riley Center and Museum of African American History and Culture is digitizing the museum’s 850 linear feet of archival holdings to provide better accessibility to these landmark materials illustrating Florida’s African American history. To bring these materials online, the museum is fostering collaboration in the community, working with Tallahassee Community College, which currently holds the Riley archives, and Florida State University Special Collections & Archives to produce the metadata and digitize the archive.
